Slauson), Corporal, Co. 'K', 21st Iowa Volunteer Infantry Regiment; great-grandnephew of James Slawson (born: James Slauson), Musician, Co. 'K', 21st Iowa Vol. Inf'y Reg't.; and great-great-grandson of Dr. Stephen F. Cummings, Assistant Surgeon, 4th Iowa Veteran Volunteer Cavalry Regiment.
All three were members of the Grand Army of the Republic.
